Vancouver, July 2011 -- A truly beautiful city

Arrived in Vancouver, Canada, in a truly interesting and beautiful airport. Now, I don't normally comment on airports, but this one is really nice. It really makes the very long walk to passport check at least interesting...

The next morning, after the meetings went for a walk, and guess who I saw (didn't see them in Boston)...

 Vancouver's waterfront is stunning...

 

The main shopping street downtown is served by trams...

 The BC Place stadium, where they host American Football and Soccer games.

 

This is the typical arch at the entrance to Chinatown, which is very unlike other Chinatowns, it is a living area rather than a dining or tourist area...

Time out for lunch, it was PEAR cider...wonderful

... along with a simple fillet mignon steak
